Priory Centre Access Statement

We aim to provide a first class visitor experience to all visitors and user groups and are continuously looking to improve accessibility and facilities.

We currently offer:

Pre-arrival

Ø  Staff in the Administration office will assist with all planning and enquiries and aim to provide a full and equal experience to all visitors

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

Ø  The Priory Centre is located in Priory Lane, St Neots and has a car park within a short walking distance and pedestrian from the Town and car park.

Ø  The Priory Car Park has 2 disabled parking spaces. Arrangements can also be made with the staff at the Centre for vehicles to unload and pick up directly outside the Centre. Please contact the Priory Centre Reception on 01480 388922.

Ø  Vehicles displaying a valid blue badge can use St Neots pay and display car parks for free. For details of nearby car parks with disabled bays please contact Huntingdonshire District Council on 01480 388388.

Main Entrance & Administration Office

Ø  Operating hours for the Administration Office are normally 0900-1900 hours but these vary depending on certain events when access may be restricted.

Ø  A doorbell is available at the left of the entrance doors.

Public Areas – General

Ø  All rooms are available to hire from Monday to Sunday from 8.30am to 10.30pm.

Ø  All rooms to hire have a level access through doorways of at least 80cm width.

Ø  Assistance guide dogs are welcome and can be provided with water on request.

Ø  All areas of the Priory Centre are non-smoking areas.

Ø  All doors in the Centre are fire doors and are heavy.

Public Areas – Toilets

Ø  There is one toilet within the Centre for the use of disabled people. Access is level.

Ø  This toilet is unisex and there is no need for a key.

Ø  The door folds open and locks by a twist lock.

Ø  The dimensions of this cubicle are such that they are only appropriate for ambulant or assisted disabled person’s use.

Public Areas – Kitchen

Ø  There is a gas cooker, hot water boiler, fridge/freezer available to all users.

Ø  The worktops are at a height where chair users may have some difficulties. Where possible assistance may be arranged.
